KNOX TALKS
CHRISTIAN SCHOOL WYOMING, ON
New Families
Welcome to JKCS!
We are so looking forward to having your family at JKCS in the fall. We pray that as you look ahead to your children entering our school, you would be encouraged by how God continues to lead and provide for your family. We are looking forward to getting to know your family more in the days ahead!

Buddy Families
All new families will be matched up with a current JKCS family in the summer before they start at the school. The role of the Buddy Family is to answer your questions in those first few weeks, be a friendly face around the school, and to help you get connected in our community. We desire to have a strong community, both for the students and the parents.
social
events
Plan to attend one (or all) of our many fall social events to start getting connected. We will host a Kick-off bbq in September, and march in the Wyoming fall fair parade. We also bake pies and tarts to sell at the fair. Come and volunteer for one of these events to get connected with other parents and families at JKCS. Each event is FREE, casual and fun. Plan to come!
Throughout the year, we will also have regular fundraising and other social events such as our Trivia Night, Auction, Christmas bake sale, Grandparents’ Day, and the Golf Tournament. It is our hope that our JKCS families will feel connected, share our events with their friends and family, and enjoy community together!

Virtual tour
Seeing the spaces where learning happens is a big part of choosing Christian Education at John Knox. Here we have put together a virtual tour to see our new building and the spaces where your children can learn, develop, and flourish.
John Knox is also available to community members who wish to rent our gym facilities for sports, banquets or meetings.
Volunteering at jkCS
One of the best ways to get to know other parents is by volunteering at the school. Between field trips, fundraising events, school socials, prep work, and committees there are lots of ways to get involved. We will routinely post volunteer opportunities in our weekly newsletter as well. If you want to volunteer and don’t know where to start, just ask!
Stay informed
Here are few ways to keep up to date with events at the school:
Knox Talks: This is a weekly newsletter that is published on Mondays. You can read about school news and events and also find a summary about the what is happening in each classroom.
Facebook and Instagram: Follow our social media pages to see our upcoming events. Share these with your friends and family.
Parent Handbook: Each family at the school will receive a handbook with staff contact information, a list of other families at the school, class lists, and relevant policies.
